Collection: WeStYarn Yarlung DK

A soft DK superwash Yak (20%), Silk (20%) & Merino (60%). Hand dyed in the Netherlands with professional dyes. DK weight 212 m / 100 gram. Gauge (stocking stitch): 21sts x 32 rows over 10cm/4 inches on 3.75mm needles. 

This yarns is exquisite with the natural grey-brown undertone of the Tibetan Yak. The base is dark and rich, it is super soft ans silky and looks beautiful in the skein. Due to the darker tone of the yarn, all colorways are rich and deep.

Speckles will appear as subtle flecks and different colors will merge together seamlessly. The yarn will knit up into a velvety super soft fabric with a wonderful drape. Good for luxury shawls and sweaters. It would also make nice hats, but you would need to go down in needle size to create a firmer fabric.

Dyed in an environmentally friendly manner with acid dyes, carefully washed in unscented wool wash and sent in skeins unless otherwise requested. I try to design my dye schedule in such a manner that I can re-use dye baths several times per session and lower my environmental impact.
